Aeropress Brew Recipe
MATERIALS
- 18g. of Coffee (Ground Medium to Fine)
- Aeropress
- Aeropress Filters
- Scale
- Kettle
- Timer
Brew Time: 2 Minutes
METHOD
- In a teapot or electric kettle, heat 270g. of water to near boiling (200F).
- While the water is heating, place the paper filter into the brewer. Be sure to rinse the paper filter with hot water and preheat your brew vessel. Discard water and attach a filter cap to the brew chamber. Place the brewer onto the scale.
- Add 18g. of ground coffee to the brew chamber and tare scale to zero.
- Pour 270g. water on top of the grounds, immediately stirring to make sure water saturates the grounds completely.
- Fasten the plunger to the brew chamber and let brew until your timer hits 1:30. Put the brew vessel onto your desired mug and gently press down with a steady pressure until you hear a hissing noise. Aim for this to take around 30 seconds.
