CLEVER DRIPPER RECIPE

MATERIALS 

  • Clever Dripper
  • 25g. of Coffee (Medium to Course Ground, Similar to Flakey Sea Salt)
  • Kettle 
  • Scale
  • Timer
  • Grinder
  • Decanter or Mug

METHOD

  1. In a teapot or electric kettle, heat 375g. of water to near boiling (200F).
  2. Grind 25g. of coffee on the course setting of your grinder. Place dry filter into Clevver dripper along with ground coffee. Place dripper onto the scale and tare scale to zero. 
  3. Start your timer and pour 50 g. of water onto coffee grounds. Let coffee bloom, or release CO2 gasses, for 30 seconds. 
  4. Slowly pour water over grounds in a circular motion until the scale reads 375g. Make sure to get all grounds saturated.
  5. Place the lid on top of the Clever dripper and let the grounds steep until the timer reaches 4 minutes. 
  6. Remove the dripper from the scale and place on top of a decanter or your favorite mug. Remove the lid from the dripper and wait for the coffee to extract into the decanter or mug. This may take a minute or two.
