Cold Brew Concentrate Recipe

Summer is here and that means it's cold brew season! We created a step by step guide sharing our favorite way to brew cold brew. Best brewed with coffee from our limited edition Summer Cold Brew Series.

Materials

  • Toddy Home Cold Brew System (Includes: brewing container, reusable felt filter, silicone stopper, paper filter bags, and glass decanter)
  • 300g. of Coffee, Ground on the Coarsest Grind Setting
  • 74oz. of Cool Water 

Method 

  1. Place silicone stopper into the hole on the bottom of the Toddy Brewing Container. Making sure to insert the plug from the outside.
  2. Dampen disk shaped felt filter with water and insert into bottom of the brewing container.
  3. Grind 300g. of coffee on the coarsest setting of your grinder.
  4. Place ground coffee into the paper filter and place paper filter with coffee into brewing container.
  5. Slowly pour 74oz. of cool water on top of the coffee grounds making sure to saturate the grounds.
  6. Twist the filter closed and allow to steep for 13 hours at room temperature. 
  7. After 13 hours, place brewing container over glass decanter and remove stopper to drain.
  8. Discard coffee grounds and paper filter.

Enjoy!

When serving, we recommend a ratio of 1 part cold brew concentrate to 2 parts water. For a 12 oz. serving of cold brew, we recommend 4oz. of cold brew concentrate to 8 oz. of cold water. 

Cold brew concentrate will stay fresh in fridge for up to two weeks.
